Stuart Scheinman has spent more than 35 years at the intersection of sports, entertainment, and commerce building companies, securing major league licenses, and working with over 200 professional athletes across the NBA, NHL, MLB, and NFL.
He launched Smokey’s in 1988, building it into a premier sports marketing company with five retail stores and a 44,000-square-foot distribution center. Under official NFL and NHL licenses, Smokey’s produced collectibles with legends including Mickey Mantle, Bobby Hull, Lawrence Taylor, and Ken Griffey Jr. Stuart also helped produce MLB’s first FanFest in Toronto and was named one of Entrepreneur Magazine’s Top 40 Executives Under 40 in 1992.
In 1997, he founded Animaland Inc., a global leader in interactive toys with equipment deployed in over 500 facilities worldwide. He went on to found Capital Art Inc., a publicly traded company where he built one of the world’s largest image licensing portfolios.
In association with Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté, Stuart helped launch Frooogs Camp and negotiated the NFL Super Bowl Host Committee agreement that made it the Official Camp of the 2024 Super Bowl in Las Vegas.
